Yalin Olivas - President

​

Yalin is currently a Director of Revenue Cycle for UnitedHealth Group/OptumInsight Provider supporting the financial aspects of 300+ Primary Care and Specialty Providers in Colorado. She has held Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Management leadership roles throughout her journey in the healthcare industry.

 

Yalin has attained her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and Management with specialties in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources from Colorado State University Global. She has been an active COHAM member since its inception. She believes working in healthcare is rewarding and fulfilling because she has the opportunity to enhance patient experience from the financial standpoint.

 

Outside of work, Yalin enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her family and friends.

Candice Tadlock - Vice President

​

Candice was raised in Colorado. She currently manages a Pre Access team for Centura Health with oversight of the South Denver Region Health Benefit Advisors and the Centura Enterprise Admission Notifications team. Prior to serving in this role Candice has worked in all areas of Patient Access including ER registration, admissions, PBX, and scheduling while serving in various roles: frontline, technical coordinator, supervisor and manager. 

 

Candice has achieved her Bachelor's of Science in Healthcare Management from MSU Denver and is a candidate for Master’s in Business Administration with Dignity Health Global through Northern Arizona University. She has received certification for Leadership Business Acumen from the University of Denver in 2021. In addition, she currently serves as an Industry Standards Committee Member for NAHAM.

 

Outside of work, Candice enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering for various activities that her three children are involved in with her husband.

Abygail Behm - Secretary/Historian

​

Abby is the Director of Revenue Cycle Academy for Stanford Health Care and coordinates the onboarding and continuing education for all Revenue Cycle teams. She has worked in and with Patient Access for over a decade, through a variety of roles and relationships. Abby found her true passion in training and educating front end users for success in their roles, and has made that a focus of her leadership and career. To further that intent, she received her bachelor's in Human Development and a Master's in Business Administration from Colorado State University.

 

As a Colorado native, Abby strives to be outdoors as much as possible- she loves hiking and camping with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs. She also enjoys doing yoga and watching her daughters grow into ballerinas and artists.

 

Jennifer Apodaca - Treasurer

Jennifer is a Colorado Springs native and has worked for Centura Health for the past 25 years.  She worked as an ER Registrar, in Admissions, Scheduling, Technical Coordinator and then promoted to Manager in 2008.  Currently, Jennifer is the Pre-Access Manager for 10 Centura facilities throughout Greater Colorado and Kansas.  She has been a member of COHAM since its inception in 2013, and Treasurer since 2015 .  Outside of work, Jennifer is a wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 3, and a huge Denver Broncos and Nuggets fan.

Scott Galanos

​

Scott is the founding Branch Manager of the Addison Group Denver Healthcare office where his focus is to network with leaders within a variety of different healthcare organizations. Scott prides himself on being able to build rapport and long standing relationships with different revenue cycle departments to assist with staff augmentation and building their cultures.

​

During his career Scott has spoken at various networking groups such as AAPC, aIPAM, COHAM, IL-HIMA and is the active President in COHAM. In 2015 Scott served on the committee that created the first ever Educational Summit between COHAM and AAHAM with a focus on educating front & back office staff on their importance. Additionally Scott worked directly with AAHAM, CMCC, and HFMA Presidents to plan and execute the All Payor Day conference that was held at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

​

Although Scott has only been in Colorado 2 years he feels like he can call Denver his home as he has developed many relationships, personal and professional that are long lasting. He enjoys being able to ride his snowboard in the winter or hitting the links with a view of the Rockies. Originally from Ohio Scott likes the mid-west feel of Colorado while enjoying the excitement of an up & coming city.
