Beth A. Bragalone, CRCR, CHAA, CRCS-I, CHAM - President

Beth Bragalone is a is a broadly skilled team leader who serves Middle Park Medical Center in Revenue Cycle Training and as Integrity Coordinator.  She has been an active member of COHAM since 2012 and is a member of HFMA and NAHAM.  Her vast knowledge in service and systems helped launch cutting edge technology in reducing patient identity theft  and duplicated records within the Hospital.  Her passion is helping the community she serves and staff around her succeed.   She successful trains the Revenue Cycle and dedicates her time to assist associates prepare for National Certifications.  Beth’s hard work and dedication to her profession has reaped multiple awards in her 18+ years in Healthcare including Respect for Values in Practice Award and Thinking outside the Box Award.  Beth enjoys time with her family, volunteering, the outdoors, paddle boarding, kayaking and traveling abroad.

D.J. Sheehan, CHAM - Vice President

DJ is currently the Director of Operations for the Pre Access Service Center (PASC) for SCL Health, an 8 hospital system based out of Broomfield, Colorado. Prior to SCL he held several positions at Boulder Community Health over 7 years, most recently as Pre-Service Manager in Patient Access.  As the Director of Operations for PASC, DJ oversees Centralized Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Auth/Cert and Financial Clearance functions for the 8 hospital system.

DJ is a member of COHAM and NAHAM and joined the board of COHAM in the spring of 2017. He currently holds a degree in Economics from the University of Colorado and is a candidate for Master’s in Healthcare Administration. 
 

Yalin Olivas - Secretary/Historian

Yalin Y Olivas was born and raised in Mexico where she lived the first years of her life and completed her education in Accounting.  In 2003, she moved to Colorado where she started her career in healthcare. She currently is the Manager of Patient Access Services for the Centralized Insurance Verification Department at Childrens Hospital Colorado.  She has a dedicated team of 76 staff members that includes 3 Supervisors and 6 Team Leads supporting the financial aspect of the organization. Children’s Hospital Colorado has been a corporate member since inception of COHAM. She believes working in healthcare is very rewarding because she can get help to others and most importantly, she see’s miracles every day! 

 

Yalin has lived in Colorado for over 14 years and although she is not a Colorado native she would say that she was adopted by this beautiful state! She has 3 children, a 23 year old son and 19 and 11 year old daughter. She enjoys every season of Colorado, but her favorite one is the Fall.
 

Jennifer Apodaca - Treasurer

Jennifer is a Colorado Springs native and has worked at Penrose-St. Francis in Patient Access for the past 18 years.  She worked as an ER Registrar, in Admissions, Scheduling, and then was promoted to manager in 2008.  She has been a member of COHAM since its conception in 2013.  Outside of work, Jennifer is a wife, mother of 3, and a huge Bronco fan.

Jonathan Wiik

Scott Galanos

Scott is the founding Branch Manager of the Addison Group Denver Healthcare office where his focus is to network with leaders within a variety of different healthcare organizations. Scott prides himself on being able to build rapport and long standing relationships with different revenue cycle departments to assist with staff augmentation and building their cultures.

During his career Scott has spoken at various networking groups such as AAPC, aIPAM, COHAM, IL-HIMA and is the active President in COHAM. In 2015 Scott served on the committee that created the first ever Educational Summit between COHAM and AAHAM with a focus on educating front & back office staff on their importance. Additionally Scott worked directly with AAHAM, CMCC, and HFMA Presidents to plan and execute the All Payor Day conference that was held at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Although Scott has only been in Colorado 2 years he feels like he can call Denver his home as he has developed many relationships, personal and professional that are long lasting. He enjoys being able to ride his snowboard in the winter or hitting the links with a view of the Rockies. Originally from Ohio Scott likes the mid-west feel of Colorado while enjoying the excitement of an up & coming city.
